Shawn is a Vermont native, born and raised in Bristol, with more than two decades of experience in the banking, mortgage, and real estate industries. Prior to joining Vermont Mortgage Company, he worked as a portfolio lender and mortgage underwriter at Merchants Bank. He most recently spent 11 years as a paralegal at a high-volume local real estate law firm, further deepening his understanding of the homebuying process from contract to closing. Shawn is passionate about helping clients find the right mortgage solutions for their needs. He brings a wealth of knowledge, attention to detail, and a strong customer service focus to every interaction. He lives in Colchester with his partner and their black lab, Theo. Outside of work, Shawn enjoys traveling, boating on Lake Champlain, and spending time with friends and family, especially his two nephews.
